Iowa 州市中心公寓大樓部分坍塌 傷亡數字不明
美國愛荷華州東部城市達芬波特（Davenport）發生一棟公寓建築部分坍塌的事件，當地首長表示有「一些」人下落不明，確切受傷或失蹤人數目前還不清楚。
綜合美聯社和愛荷華州地方媒體KWQC的報導，這起事件發生在當地下午5時左右，消防人員在初步行動中自大樓中救出7人，並護送另外12人離開。目前還未釐清坍塌原因。

達芬波特市市長瑪特森（Mike Matson）表示救援行動仍在繼續進行當中，並已要求派出一支特搜隊在廢墟中搜尋倖存者。他婉拒透露確切或估計的傷亡人數。

多位官員表示，事發之前，這棟建築的所有人曾領到許可針對外牆進行翻修。
一名達芬波特承包商表示，建築物倒塌時，他正在裡面架支撐桁架。
而住戶史密斯（Jennifer Smith）表示，她丈夫打電話跟她說市中心有大樓爆炸時，她還不知道就是自己住的公寓大樓出事。

她說，她和丈夫去年12月就向市府提出申訴，抱怨自家浴室下陷。史密斯還說，夫妻倆冬季搬進這棟公寓以來，水漬問題就很明顯，還說有住戶告訴他們「這棟建築有一天會塌下來」。
